Made By Alaskan
I have been making hand
sewn products for the last 23 years. I am proud to be carrying on the tradition
of the true Alaskan home enterprise. In the following pages it is my desire for
you to see something from Alaska. Please let me know what you think.
My goal is to produce authentic products from fur, leather, beads and
other materials. I learned bead work and skin sewing from an Eskimo native
woman, from the village of McGrath while I was living in the village of
Tanana, along the banks of the mighty Yukon river. I have used that
knowledge to create many products that are now sold in gift shops in all
parts of Alaska, from Barrow in the north to Wrangle in the south east. I
have also shipped products as far off as Detroit Michigan.
I have been a member of the
internationally recognized "Made In Alaska" program, the
official registration number for Sue's Stitches is 0219. They have a web site,
please visit them if you get a chance.
